Checked baggage
Starting with 1st of July 2010, TAROM has adopted a new Baggage policy on its flights, based on Piece System which replaces the previous Weight System. The new policy is applicable for tickets issued/voluntary re-issued on/after the 1st of July 2010.
One standard checked piece of baggage has a weight of maximum 23 kg and 158 cm (height + width + length).
The checked free baggage allowance, depending on the class of travel:

The free checked baggage allowance for infant cannot be combined with the free checked baggage allowance for adult. The excess of the free checked baggage allowance given for the infant will result in application of Excess baggage charges.
The number of accepted pieces is limited depending on the aircraft type operating the flight:
- ATR42/ATR72 - maximum 3 pieces / passenger;
- B737/Airbus - maximum 10 pieces / passenger.
The acceptance of hold baggages that contain restricted liquides for transportation
Passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles in their hold baggage:
Explosives and incendiary substances and devices (i.e ammuntions, blasting caps, detonators, replica or imitation explosive devices, smoke generating cartridges and canisters, gunpower and plastic explosives etc).
These regulations apply only to flights operated by TAROM aircrafts. In case of code-share flights performed by TAROM partners, other rules imposed by the airline operating the flight may apply.

In case the ticket itinerary contains TAROM flights connecting other airlines services, the allowance and charges of the first operating carrier en route (TAROM) for the checked sector(s) shall be applied and passengers notified they might be separately charged by other carriers participating en route.
