Take the following steps:
- Identification
- Check-in
- Change the seat
- Print your boarding pass
Follow the 4 steps described to make sure the online check-in formalities were completed successfully.
STEP 1: Identification
To check your booking information in order to carry out the online check-in formalities, you need to enter the electronic ticket number in your possession, consisting of 13 or 14 digits (e.g. 281 1234 567 891 ).
Select your flight number.
STEP 2: Check-In
All information about your flight shall be displayed: date, departure time, flight number, departure airport, arrival airport, class of services and airline operator code (if different from the airline showed on your ticket).
Note: If your itinerary includes a flight connection, information about it shall also be displayed. You can perform check-in formalities for both flights, for which a single boarding pass shall be issued.
Similarly, if the return flight is scheduled within 24 hours from the start of the trip, you can perform check-in formalities for that flight too.
- Select the passenger/passengers for which you want to perform check-in formalities
You will see a list of all passengers registered in your reservation for which you want to perform check-in formalities. Please select the passenger/passengers for which you want to perform check-in formalities. If you wish to add a passenger on the list, with another reservation, press "Add passenger" button and enter the required identification data.
You can perform simultaneous check-in formalities for the passengers listed (maximum 9). All the information about the new passenger entered shall be displayed.
For some destinations, you will need to enter some additional information, requested by local authorities.
This information is generally referred to as A.P.I.S. (Advance Passenger Information System); personal data whose confidentiality is guaranteed by national and international laws in force are required in this screen. If such information is incomplete or wrongly filled, you can not print your boarding pass, but only the registration confirmation based on which you will receive the boarding pass at the airport, at the check-in office for your flight.
It is also necessary to confirm that each passenger is in possession of all identity and travel documents specific for the destination country (passport, visa, etc.) and that he/she is aware of the information about prohibited goods on transport (in the checked baggage or in the hand baggage) according to EC 300/2008.
- Select the gender and confirm that the passenger is aged over 12 years / under 12 years
- Fill in the series of the frequent traveller card.
After filling in the information in this step, your formalities is completed successfully.
STEP 3: Change the seat
By default, you are assigned a number for your seat on the plane. You can choose another seat by simply pressing the "Change the seat" button. You can also change the seats for the passengers you checked-in at the previous step.
Available seats are displayed on the airplane seat map.
Note: The seat of your choice may not be available. Some seats may already have been booked by other passengers.
Also, the Company reserves a certain number of seats for passengers with special needs as families with children or passengers with disabilities.
Attention: You can only change the seat once. Your seat may not be changed once the boarding pass is issued.
TAROM Company informs you that in case of changing the type of aircraft, your seat on the plane might be changed. In this case, you will receive the boarding pass with the new seat at the boarding gate.
STEP 4: Print your boarding pass
The printed document represents your boarding pass and you need to have it on you when you arrive at the airport.
Note:
- It is mandatory to print your boarding pass in 2 copies.
- We recommended printing the document "Trip Summary and Receipt". Remember to have this document on you when you arrive at the airport. The representatives of the border police may request this document in addition to the boarding pass;
- In some cases, you can print only the "Confirmation" of your registration, based on which you shall receive the boarding pass at the airport, at the check-in office for your flight.
If you have trouble printing the boarding pass, the check-in formalities performed remain valid. In this case, you can receive that boarding pass at the check-in office for your flight at the airport, before closing time of check-in formalities.
Handing over the checked baggage at the airport
If you have check-in baggage, you must go to TAROM "Baggage Drop-Off" office in the airport. In most airports, you can hand over the baggage within maximum 2 hours and minimum 45 minutes before departure time.
Note:
- the boarding pass must be printed in 2 copies.
- it is advisable to have the "Trip Summary and Receipt" document printed. Make sure you have this document with you when you arrive at the airport. The border police agents may request this document in addition to the boarding pass;
- in certain cases you can only print the Confirmation of your registration and you will receive your boarding pass at the airport, at the check-in desk for your flight.
If you have any difficulties with the printing of your boarding pass, the check-in procedures already completed are still valid. In such case, you can receive your boarding pass at the check-in desk for your flight in the airport, before the closing time of the check-in procedures.
Checked baggage drop-off
If you have baggage to check in, please go the TAROM "Baggage Drop-Off" desk in the airport. In most airports you can drop baggage from 2 hours to 45 minutes before take-off time.
If you do not have any baggage to check in, go directly to the boarding gate and make sure you are on time, as specified on your boarding pass. At the airport, check the boarding gate of your flight. The document control procedure performed by the border authorities can take longer, so make sure you have plenty of time to complete it before the boarding time.
Do you have any difficulties with the online check-in?
If you cannot check in online, you can check in at the airport. At the check-in desk, you must present your itinerary, frequent traveller card and passport and we will complete all the necessary procedures.
If you are travelling in Business Class or have an Elite or ElitePlus card, you can check-in at the dedicated desk inside the airport.

Cancelling Your Booking
If you want to cancel your booking, please fill in this form. If you fail to contact the airline, penalties may be applied depending on your ticket fee.
