Problems with your baggage

Reporting an incident

If, on your arrival at destination, the baggage is damaged or has not arrived by the same flight with you, please contact the Lost & Found TAROM offices before leaving the restricted area of customs / baggage strips of the airport.

Filing a complaint

Written complaints must be accompanied by a copy of the travel ticket, copies of the luggage labels and the copy of the report of missing/damaged luggage (PIR).

Baggage weight

If the weight of the passenger's baggage is not registered on the baggage ticket, the weight of such checked baggage is considered not to exceed the free baggage allowance corresponding to the travel class for which the fee was paid.

Fragile and valuable items

Some transporters do not take responsibility for the transportation of fragile, valuable or perishable items. TAROM shall not be held liable for damages to the baggage or to the contents thereof due to fragile or perishable items left in the checked baggage.
