Refund of Charges and Taxes on TAROM Documents (YQ/YR, airport and other taxes)

Effective 1st of December 2009 (date of refund) the following refund procedure will be applicable in respect of taxes and charges levied on RO documents:

1/Totally unused tickets:

If no portion of the ticket has been used refund will be the full amount of the fare paid less applicable penalties (if any, according to the fare note), plus refundable charges and taxes (YQ/YR surcharges, airport and other taxes).

2/Partially used ticket:

If a portion of a ticket has been used, refunds will be assessed according to the IATA standard rule and fare note (see para PENALTIES).

Following additional procedure will be applied:

2.1.When the applicable fare for the travel undertaken is higher than the initially paid fare, charges and taxes (YQ/YR, airport and other taxes) will not be refunded.

2.2.When the applicable fare for the travel undertaken is lower or equal to the initially paid fare, charges and taxes (YQ/YR, airport and other taxes) will be refunded according to their conditions of application.

NOTE

When calculating the amount of the refund following rules should be complied with:

-The fare for the travel undertaken will be assessed using the fare(s) applicable

at the time of commencement of transportation and the IATA ROE applicable

at the time of original transaction.

-The fare(s) selected for calculating the assessed fare for the travel undertaken should

not contain in paras RULE APPLICATION/PENALTIES the remark:"May not be

used for normal refund procedure".
