The fleet

Here you can find out information about the planes that compose the TAROM fleet and their characteristics.

In 1992 TAROM started an intensive fleet modernization process.

Two AIRBUS A-310 aircraft were purchased in 1992 (exiting the fleet in 2018), two BOEING 737-300 aircrafts in 1993 and a year later another three BOEING 737-300 aircrafts joined  TAROM fleet.

Between 1998 - 2000, TAROM fleet was enriched with seven ATR 42-500 aircraft for domestic and regional flights, and in the immediately following period, 2001-2004, TAROM acquires four BOEING 737 - 700 aircraft.

TAROM continues its fleet modernization process, so that between 2006 and 2007, four AIRBUS A318 aircraft were purchased.

In 2009 TAROM increases its fleet of ATR by two ATR 72-500.

In 2017 and 2018, four BOEING 737-800 NG aircraft are operationally leased, TAROM fleet reaching 25 aircraft.

In the first three months of 2020, four ATR 72-600 (out of a total of 9 new ATR 72-600 operationally leased aircrafts) enter the fleet, TAROM currently operating with 25 aircraft on international and domestic flights.
