SkyTeam is a global airline alliance providing customers from member airlines access to an extensive global network with more destinations, more frequencies and more connectivity. Passengers can earn and redeem the miles in the loyalty program Flying Blue throughout the SkyTeam destination network. SkyTeam member airlines offer customers 750 lounges worldwide. The SkyTeam members are: Aeroflot (suspended), Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air, Middle East Airlines, SAS, Saudia, TAROM, Vietnam Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Xiamen Airlines. SkyTeam offers its 624 million annual customers globally approximately 13,600 daily flights to 1,000 destinations in 160 countries.

Global Meetings
SkyTeam Global Meeting is a product addressed to organizers and participants of global meetings, conferences and events. It is created to simplify the travel organization process for large international meetings. With SkyTeam Global Meetings, event organizers can coordinate air travel on all member airlines of the SkyTeam alliance through a single point of contact. Event participants can receive fare discounts on a very wide range of fares while still earning Frequent Flyer program miles on all SkyTeam member airlines.

Brief SkyTeam History
2000
June 22nd – CEOs of Aeromexico, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air met in New York to announce the formation of SkyTeam, the global airline alliance. September – SkyTeam turns its attention to cargo services and announces the creation of the world's largest airline cargo alliance, SkyTeam Cargo. Partners Aeromexpress, Air France Cargo, Delta Air Logistics and Korean Air Cargo joined this alliance.
2001
March – Czech Airlines was welcomed into the SkyTeam alliance as the 5th member. July – Alitalia joins the SkyTeam alliance as the 6th member.
2002
August – SkyTeam launches the "Europe Pass Fare" fare option that allows customers to travel in Europe with a single plane ticket.
2004
SkyTeam launches the "America Pass" fare option – tailored to meet the requirements of tourists visiting North America and Caribbean destinations. September – Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Northwest Airlines become full members of the SkyTeam alliance.
2005
October – SkyTeam launches the "Asia Pass" fare option adapted to meet the requirements of tourists visiting destinations in Asia and the Pacific region.
2006
January – Following an annual survey by "Global Travelers" magazine, SkyTeam is named "Best Airline Alliance in 2005". April – Aeroflot becomes the 10th member of the SkyTeam alliance. April – SkyTeam announces the launch of the "SkyTeam Global Meetings" program, a new product specifically designed to simplify the travel organization process for international meetings.
2007
June – SkyTeam names Mr. Leo van Wijk as the alliance's first Chairman. September – SkyTeam announces the first three members of the new "Associate Program": Air Europa, Copa Airlines and Kenya Airways. November – China Southern Airlines joined the alliance; SkyTeam becomes the first alliance to include a Chinese air carrier among its members.
2008
September – SkyTeam launches the "China Pass" fare option which offers international passengers an easy and affordable option to travel to nine cities in China. November – SkyTeam launches the "SkyTeam Mileage Upgrades Program". SkyTeam loyal passengers can use their miles to get a business class upgrade.
2009
April – SkyTeam launches the new color scheme. April – SkyTeam launches the "Italy Pass" fare option. June – the first SkyTeam branded lounge was opened in Terminal 4 of London Heathrow International Airport. September – SkyTeam launches the "Mexico Pass" fare option.
2010
January – SkyTeam won the Global Traveler 2009 award, "Best Airline Alliance" for the 5th consecutive year. June – SkyTeam welcomes the latest members: Vietnam Airlines and TAROM. June 22nd – SkyTeam celebrates 10 years of existence.
2011
June – SkyTeam welcomes China Eastern and its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines. September – SkyTeam welcomes China Airlines.
2012
January – SkyTeam announces the launch of the SkyPriority project. May – Saudi Arabian Airlines becomes the 16th member. June – Middle East Airlines Air Liban joins SkyTeam. August – SkyTeam welcomes Aerolineas Argentinas. November – Xiamen Airlines is the 19th member.
2013
February – The first SkyPriority fast transfer line was inaugurated in Tokyo. May – SkyTeam improves the Global Meetings product by launching an online booking service. July – The second SkyTeam Launge is inaugurated in Istanbul Ataturk International Airport.
2014
March – SkyTeam welcomes Garuda Indonesia.
2015
June 22nd – SkyTeam celebrates 15 years of existence.
2023
March – Virgin Atlantic joins the Alliance. March 20th – SkyTeam receives the title of "Alliance of the Year" at the Air Transport Awards.
2024
September 1st – SkyTeam welcomes SAS.
