Free Checked Baggage Allowance (General Rules)

The number of luggage pieces accepted free of charge for carriage depending on the class you are traveling with:

Passengers occupying a seat

Business: max 2 standard pieces (max 32kg each) Economy: max 1 standard piece (max 23kg each)

Frequent Flyer SkyTeam members (Elite Plus/Elite)

Business: + 1 standard piece (max 32kg) Economy: + 1 standard piece (max 23kg)

Sailors (dedicated rates)

Business: max 2 standard pieces (max 32kg each) Economy: max 2 standard pieces (max 23kg each)

Infants not occupying a seat

1 piece (max 10kg, max 115cm) + one collapsible stroller (valid for both classes) The excess of the free baggage allowance for infants will be associated with the accompanying adult.

Flights between Amman, Beirut or Cairo and Europe

Starting from July 1, 2024, TAROM offers the following facilities for the transport of checked baggage (except for LIGHT fares):

Business Class (Standard)

2 pieces of 32kg each

Business Class (SEMIFLEX)

1 piece of 32kg

Economy Class (Standard)

2 pieces of 23kg each

Economy Class (SAVER)

1 piece of 23kg

Economy Class (LIGHT)

No checked baggage included

Weighing Conditions

The pieces will be weighed individually. If one piece has a weight higher than the limit, excess luggage regulations apply. The maximum admitted sum of dimensions (height + length + width) per piece is 158 cm.

Prohibited Items in Checked Baggage

In case of excess, prior arrangement with the carrier is required. Passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles in their hold baggage:

ATR 72 Aircraft

Maximum 3 pieces per passenger.

Boeing 737 Aircraft

Maximum 10 pieces per passenger.

Explosive and Incendiary Substances

Ammunitions, blasting caps, detonators, replica or imitation explosive devices, smoke generating cartridges and canisters, gunpowder and plastic explosives, etc.
