TAROM Company informs it was due to a warning about the existence of a bomb on board, the aircraft carrying the  flight RO 154 Tel - Aviv - Bucharest  made an emergency landing at Istanbul airport at 03:30 local time, following a decision by  the flight commander who complies with standard procedures for such situations. There were 88 passengers on board the aircraft.

We mention that the checks carried out by the competent authorities have ended and the alert turned out to be a false one.

Passengers  are currently being offered ground assistance at Istanbul airport and are due to take off around 11:30 local time to Bucharest - the final destination.

We regret the discomfort created to our passengers and reiterate that the priority of TAROM Company is the passengers and crew's safety and security.
