TAROM uses Amadeus Revenue Integrity application for the automatic validation of bookings. TAROM’s booking validation policy is applied to all markets.
Validation of reservations (PNRs) consists in a collection of processes designed to optimize the load factor on the aircraft. The main processes consist of checks and actions in reservations (PNRs) for: setting and enforcement of the time limit tickets issuance, duplicate PNRs, fictitious and/or duplicate ticket numbers, suspicion of fictitious names, duplicate segments, reservations made in incorrect booking classes, etc.
Only electronic tickets are accepted. The ticket number had to be present in the booking system of TAROM – Amadeus, according to the originating GDS of the PNR:
AMADEUS: in FA lines
GALILEO / SABER / WORLDSPAN / APOLLO: in SSR TKNE lines
In the event that a ticket is already issued but the FA line is no longer found on the face of the PNR, the ticket series can be entered manually in the following format to be accepted by the system and recognized by ATL:
FHE 172-1234567890-91/C1-3/S2-4/P1,3
There must be the same information in the PNR and in the ticket (identical) otherwise the FA line is not accepted.
TKNA/TKNM/FA PT/FHA/FHM TKT FOR BSP/ARC – not accepted.
The series of tickets must appear in the active part of the reservations, in the format mentioned above in order to be identified and checked by the robot. Otherwise, the reservation can be canceled as not ticketed.
Attention: the validity of the manual ticket numbers entered in the reservation is checked. If a fictitious ticket number is entered, the seat is automatically cancelled without notice.
The ticket numbers in the reservation must cover the entire itinerary (booking segment/class/date) and all passengers in the reservation (surname/surname title).
All PNRs marked “previous TKT use” will be automatically canceled without notice.
Reservations must contain the full name of the passenger – last name/first name title – a space is inserted between the first name and title. Otherwise, a warning message is automatically entered in the “Check name” reservation. The sales agent must correct the passenger’s name. Otherwise, the reservation can be cancelled without notice.

The sales agent is always notified about the time limit set by the robot in an OPC line. Tickets must be issued before TTL expires. When the OPC TL expires, the automatic cancellation takes place.
TL is set automatically or manually (in certain situations), on any day of the week (working days, national holidays, weekends).
TAROM will always try to respect the automatically set TTL, but this is not guaranteed.
TAROM reserves the right to modify the TTL in special situations. The sales agent will be informed accordingly and will have to comply with the most restrictive TTL.
Sales agents must comply with the OPC TL entered by the robot in the PNR as well as the tariff restrictions, acting in accordance with the most restrictive condition (OPC TL, Last ticketing date, etc.)
The OPC TL is set by the robot for the entire PNR itinerary, applying the most restrictive rule of those corresponding to each segment.
For some routes/flights/booking classes there may be specific TTL rules, different from the general ones presented above, in accordance with TAROM policy.
If the ticket is voided / refunded, the sales agent is obliged to immediately cancel the corresponding itinerary. Otherwise, if the segments remain active blocking seats unnecessarily and/or resulting in a noshow, the RO ADM policy will be applied.
Reservations made on the day of the flight must be ticketed immediately. These reservations will be canceled automatically, as soon as they are identified by the robot and do not have the tickets already issued. Cancellation takes place without notice.
If there are duplicate segments, the robot will enter a TL for clarification and issuing tickets. When the TL expires, one segment will be kept and the others will be cancelled.
For this reason, it is not recommended to perform double segments, the loss of the initial seat / price being the exclusive responsibility of the sales agent.
In case there are double/multiple reservations, whether they are ticketed or not, only one PNR will be kept and the others will be canceled automatically or manually, without notice, in accordance with RO policy.
For this reason, it is recommended that the sales agent make sure that the passenger has not already made a reservation at another sales agency. The loss of the initial seat is exclusively the responsibility of the sales agent and/or the passenger.
If the passenger is a no-show, all segments of the passenger’s itinerary, following the NO Show segment, will be canceled automatically.
