Starting from July 1, 2024, TAROM offers the following facilities for the transport of checked baggage on the routes between Amman, Beirut or Cairo to Europe (the destinations operated by TAROM with its own aircraft), as follows:
- Business Class, with the exception of the SEMIFLEX* tariff group, will have the baggage allowance of 2 pieces of 32kg each;
- *SEMIFLEX will have a baggage allowance of 1 piece of 32kg;
- Economy Class, with the exception of the SAVER and LIGHT tariff groups, will have the baggage allowance of 2 pieces of 23kg each;
- Economy Class – SAVER tariff group – will have the baggage allowance of 1 piece of 23kg;
- Economy Class – LIGHT tariff group – no checked baggage included;
- The pieces will be weighed individually, if one piece will have a weight higher than the mentioned limit, the regulations related to the luggage surplus will be applied, even if the total of the three pieces does not exceed the offered maximum limit;
- The baggage sizes will be standard TAROM, namely the maximum admitted sum of the sizes of each piece (height + length + width) is of maximum 158 cm.
The number of luggage pieces accepted free of charge for carriage depending on the class you are traveling with, with the exceptions mentioned:

*Infants not occupying a seat: The free checked baggage allowance for infant cannot be combined with the free checked baggage allowance for adult. The excess of the free checked baggage allowance given for the infant will result in application of excess baggage charges. The excess of the free baggage allowance given for the infant will be associated with the accompanying adult.
The number of accepted pieces is limited depending on the aircraft type operating the flight:
- ATR72 – maximum 3 pieces / passenger;
- B737 – maximum 10 pieces / passenger.
In case of excess, prior arrangement with the carrier(s) is required.
Passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles in their hold baggage:
Explosives and incendiary substances and devices (i.e ammuntions, blasting caps, detonators, replica or imitation explosive devices, smoke generating cartridges and canisters, gunpower and plastic explosives etc).
These regulations apply only to flights operated by TAROM with its own aircraft. In the case of flights operated under code-share by TAROM partners, other rules may apply, imposed by the flight operator. To be informed, we recommend that you consult the specialized websites of the respective companies. If the ticket itinerary includes TAROM in a connection with other carriers, the rules indicated in the ticket or itinerary and the excess baggage fees of the first operator on the route (TAROM) will apply for the sector/sectors on which the baggage is checked, and we warn you that you may be charged for excess baggage by the other carriers on the route. A standard piece of baggage in the Economy cabin has a maximum weight of 23 kilograms, in the Business cabin, 32 kilograms, and the maximum allowed sum of its dimensions (height + width + length) is 158 centimeters.
